The famous neighbor of Krummbek, right on the Kiel Fjord. Worth seeing is the technical museum with the submarine U-995, the marine biology institute, the naval memorial and the small, cozy harbour.

A visit to the historic old town of Lübeck is almost a must. The medieval city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Holstentor, the Äegidienkirche, the Buddenbrookhaus are worth seeing. And of course the famous Lübeck marzipan at Niederegger.
